a bit about us

Stiggy Pop is a two-person dreamy indie rock project from Wisconsin releasing an album soon called Strawberry Moon. It is our best attempt to capture the magic of summer nights—fireflies, sunset drives, stargazing… Our new sound blends dream pop, neo-psychedelia, and indie rock, lyrics that reflect on how quickly summer flies by, and analog textures and melodies often inspired by the kind of music you’d find in old video games or electronica. We got our start making instrumental rock, so it has been exciting to take our sound in a new direction.

As a two-person project, we write, record, mix, promote, and design everything ourselves. Stowe thrives on stage and is driven by the dream of touring and sharing his music live. He has been performing around the tri-state area since he was 14. His guitar journey was first inspired by the legendary Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, while his drive to make music comes mostly from the band Twenty One Pilots. I (Drew) draw inspiration ranging from Radiohead to Mac DeMarco, the latter of which our sound is compared to quite a bit. I hope to keep experimenting with sound and making the kind of art that I enjoy, hoping that shines through with Stiggy Pop.
